2018/2019 School year
BU adopted a family from the district this year to make their Christmas AWESOME! We were able to shop for 2 young boys and get them some great gifts. Each of them got 1 new outfit, 2 new shirts, pajamas, a game, several superhero toys, and a new bedding set. We were so excited to be shopping for them! December 5th, 2018

Alton Regional Multimodal transportation center
The month of November is all about travel and transportation so we spent some time touring the train station in Alton. We got to see the train tracks, the MCT pick up area, the ticket counter and the railroad museum timeline. It was so cool!

Our Day In Edwardsville
Today marks the end of our month of Leisure... so we wrapped it up with a trip to the Glen Carbon Centennial Library (coolest one we’ve been to so far). Then, we went to Sonic to grab some lunch and headed to the Airplane Park to eat under the pavilion, which of course required us to try out a bit of the playground! Jessie says ‘it was a great day. I’ve never been to that park before and I’d like to go back!' (April.30.2018)
Dance CLass with COach Cragg
Today, we went to the Gordon Cragg Dance Studio in Alton and learned a few dances! We had so much fun! It was a nice way to wrap up our month of Leisure! April, 20th, 2018.

A little taste of Heaven Bakery
In light of the renovations at the Bethalto Public Library, Bethalto University has decided that we should explore the other libraries in the area. We started off with the Edwardsville Public Library today.
Since we were in Edwardsville, we thought we should check out the cute little bakery down the street. We walked to A Little Taste of Heaven and grabbed a treat to have after lunch. Everyone quite enjoyed it! April.6.2018

Bethalto University took a trip to with Robert Wadlow a happy (day late) birthday and enjoyed some Fazolis for lunch! (Friday, Feb. 23)
The beautiful weather and a week full of hard work called for some ice cream today! Bethalto University walked to Dairy Queen and ordered themselves some treats! (Thursday.Oct.26)
Bethalto University made a meal to deliver to one of our fellow Eagle Nation Staff. She has been ill so we put together Pepperoni Pizza, Green Beans, and Get Well Soon cards for her! (Tuesday.Oct.24)
We took our first trip to the Bethalto Care Center today and did some exercises with the residents. We introduced ourselves and talked with everyone about our favorite seasons and activities.

Bethalto University participated in the CMHS Homecoming Parade on October 6th. It was a great time!!

We took a trip to the library today to get some new books and to check the scores of the college basketball games, of course!
We had a small group on Thursday so we took a trip to Applebee's for lunch to work on our ordering skills. Jessie, Lauren, and Mitch did a great job!
Bethalto University has been working on a Walking Challenge to walk 115 minutes by Christmas! After lots of hard work, they all met their goal and we walked to El Mezcal for lunch as our reward! We had delicious food and they sang Happy Birthday to Mitch! A great time was had by all!
National Great Rivers Museum
On Tuesday, we had a small class so we took a field trip to the National Great Rivers Museum on the Mississippi River. Everyone had a great time and learned a lot!
History of Alton Tour
The sickness seemed to have hit the University this week. On Wednesday, we only had two students so we took a historical tour of Alton. We visited the Piasa Bird, the remains of the Confederate Prison wall, the Lovejoy Monument, the Haskell Playhouse and Robert Wadlow. We had a great time exploring the sights and hope to do it again sometime!
